With the forecast shaping up nicely for the weekend—milder temperatures and even a bit of sunshine—it’s the perfect time to enjoy a relaxed, scenic walk surrounded by nature (and some very charming hiking companions 🦙).

Llamas are known for their gentle, calm, and curious nature, which is frequently described by our trek guests as having a therapeutic, anxiety-reducing effect on their human companions. They do not walk fast, which ensures a relaxed, easy pace that everyone can follow. The llamas set a gentle pace, and we say that you are not really walking the llama, they are walking you as you follow their lead rather than the other way around. This unique adventure combines nature, relaxation, and animal companionship.
Serendipity Farm & Sanctuary is in the Lanark Highlands in Eastern Ontario, and offers guided, haltered Llama Treks through the Sanctuary’s groomed forest trails every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Our Llama Treks can currently accommodate up to 9 llamas and walkers, so reservations are necessary to ensure your spot. The cost is $30.00 per person, and the treks can take up to 1 ½ hours. All proceeds from these Llama Treks go directly to the care and feeding of these incredibly special animals!
