Clearing the final items from storage. Amidst the furnishings there was this. Boy it was a time. All those years on the farm, weddings, suppers, flowers, workshops. Raising a family of incredible daughters. So many wonderful employees. Great times. Emotional ones. Heather Doughty Photography OSA Ontario Society of Artists took this shot in front of our iconic silo. She did a great job catching so many portraits for a local display.
I’m going to keep it. Always good for a surprise when I pop it out from behind some boxes, am I right?

A little surprise for me. I was interviewed for a CBC article about Substack. When I joined years ago, I wasn’t thinking about trends, just a spot to write stories about food, family, and general life events. I think of it a little like a flower garden. Countless things to discover and appreciate. Thank you to everyone who reads along and makes the writing worthwhile. 🌺
