Summer mornings start earlier on the farm. Before the day really heats up, the animals are already busy. The chickens are scratching through the grass looking for breakfast, the ducks are making a mess of their water, and the goats are inspecting every corner of the pasture to see what they can nibble next.
There's something satisfying about getting chores done while the air is still cool. By afternoon, everyone—including the humans—starts looking for shade and taking things a little slower.
The work never stops, but June has a rhythm all its own if you're willing to follow it.
