Even captured by an inexperienced photog on a Google phone, these two new beers look spectacular!

Luckily, isn't inexperienced, so the beers are not just pretty but also super delicious!

Sundog is a hazy pale ale with all of the flavour and aroma of a NEIPA but half the amount of inebriation! Colin combined Idaho 7, El-Dorado, and Comet hops to create a tropical, pineapple-y delight that's only 5%. Last summer, Sundog was one of our top sellers: it just made sense to make it again!

When we opened back in 2023, we had four beers, and this pink lemon sour was our first iteration of Adventure. It's one of our favourites, made with litres of lemon, raspberry, and strawberry purées. Colin tweaked his original recipe this time by making it a little more tart and refreshing--even more like the pink lemonade sour its name claims to be.

Because we're all about the experience to complement your beer, we encourage you to enjoy these two on our patio, but they are both available in cans too!

We're hosting Kat from Curated Collective for a paint night so you can spend a couple of hours making memories and having fun while enjoying a pint or two! Kid drinks, like Kool-Aid Jammers, juice, and lemonade, are also on offer.

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of local patron Jody Read, longtime wife of Tom Donovan.

Jody and Tom have been enthusiastic supporters of Dune Hopper as a community space, and Jody especially enjoyed coming for special events such as live music and BINGO.

To honour and celebrate Jody and her fun, generous spirit, we're holding a BINGO night in her memory. Prizes will be some of her favourite things. We'll play her favourite songs and raise a toast to a life well-lived.

This is a free event, and all are welcome, but spots are limited. The event starts at six, but first call will be at 7:30.

Our beloved BYOBook Club, which began in the fall in partnership with Lindsay Casey and her Bloomfield gem of a bookshop The Wandering Albatross, and was extended many times due to us loving it so much, had its final silent reading gathering last night, before the summer busyness takes over. We had Icelandic wedding cake, cookies, chips, and, of course, delicious Dune Hopper beer.

We chatted about what we're reading and browsed a selection of books Lindsay brought, as well as a bunch from a generous patron, and read silently for an hour to some quiet evening jazz. Dune Hopper: not your typical brewery!

It was blissful, as always, even though the new sour beer fermenting in the back was vigorously bubbling and sounded like a witch was back there at her giant cauldron. (Eye of newt, anyone?)

We're missing a few in this photo, but to all those who came for any of the Thursday BYOBook Club evenings to chill among like minds, to all those who support Lindsay's perfect little bookstore: thank you for an amazing season of reading. And for making Dune Hopper the coolest third space around.

PS. Yesterday afternoon, a local woman came alone with her book, bought a pint and a bag of chips, went outside into the sun, and read with her bare feet up. Witnessing this truly filled my heart. Breweries don't have to be cliché.
