Started to harvest chokecherries this morning, to make jelly, and also realized we have a huge crop of highbush cranberries this year. Have to do some research to see what could be made with some.

Time to harvest leaves again from our Lemon Verbena plant too. Once dried, great for tea, as well as a good garnish for seafood and chicken. Green leaves crushed and added to cold beverages is awesome too.

The other day: Homemade ground chicken burgers topped with chanterelles.

Tonight: Westcoast salmon that I caught amd brought back from BC, in phyllo pastry with a white wine sauce, for supper tonight.

Love chanterelle season. Next, will be to make pizza from scratch and include them as a topping.

Supper plans for tomorrow night, now that I have some chanterelles.

Salmon in phyllo pastry, topped with maple glazed chanterelles and a dill white wine sauce. Thinking of asparagus and carrots for side dishes, then strawberry shortcake for desert.

Came across by our pond, a Yellow Garden Spider, or sometimes called a Writing Spider due to the thick, zigzag pattern they weave through the middle of their webs. Neat.

Our oldest Lab, Remi, enjoyed a morning swim there too.

The drought resulted in not harvesting any last year. :(

Found a few patches this morning between rain showers. Usually find them in old spruce stands with moss undercover.
