It’s was threatening rain. We were unloading the last wagon of straw and our Nutritionist came by to review hay samples and check our new rations. Instead of waiting around, he rolled up his sleeves and loaded the elevator before talking feed/sheep! On top of being progressive, economically minded, and practical, he’s pretty good at keeping the person in the mow hopping!

Yesterday our team of Livestock Guardian Dogs got quilled by a not so friendly porcupine! Because these dogs are great at protecting our sheep, they are somewhat difficult to transport. So thankful for the amazing care they received from the Scugog Animal Hospital team. We deeply appreciate that the Scugog Animal Hospital staff understands working dogs💙

Happy Easter from the lambing barn! Yesterday the last of our New Zealand genetics hit the ground! We are also lambing out our homebred Dorsets and Commercial ewes. So glad for some amazing extra help from our favourite daughter-in-law💕
