I always enjoy getting to go in to my hives. We have had a few lovely double digit days which allowed me the opportunity to open them, add some sugar and pollen substitute and Apivar, and just check on them.
Of those that survived, most are strong, with one that won’t likely make it (see pics).

Happy Boxing Day, Everyone.
What is this?
Did Santa Visit the Bees?
Ho,Ho, NO, it is just their beekeeper checking on them, all dressed up to stay warm. The bees are wrapped for winter too, in their cozy hives. They are awake inside there, and keeping the queen warm inside a cluster.
The bees and I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Christmas!

Hey Regina area friends... if you have not stopped by Nikki's Frozen Pantry and/or Sherwood Greenhouse lately, you should add both of those locations to your Christmas Shopping list. Bee Local Honey is in both of these retail establishments; you should pick up some honey or handmade soap or lip balm, for that "hard to shop for" person on your list. Both stores also have their own products that would make wonderfully unique Christmas gifts.

Bee ‘N Me Products was at Agribition last week in the Trade Show Bee Club booth. We had our lotions, salve and lip balms, wax melts as well as beeswax candles. Other members had their honey there. The club received a certificate this year, for being a vendor at the show for 25 years! It is always fun to talk to everyone and tell them all about bees and the bee club.

It is Fall, and these are a few of the flowers my honey bees (and other bees) are still visiting, as well as annuals, perenials, sunflowers, and garden vegetable flowers.

Hats off to the organizing committee, volunteers and performers at Gateway Festival in Bengough. It was fantastic. Saturday started with a parade and we saw lots of new and returning visitors to the Green Church on Main St. where Bee Local Honey was set up with all of our products. The weather was perfect and we loved meeting people and sharing the story of the church restoration. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, hope to see you next year.
