That red cow standing in the field represents exactly what we’ve been working toward — the beginning of IronHorse Ranch’s Registered Red Angus herd here in Newfoundland.

And now, the countdown is officially on.

At the end of this month, the first load of our Red Angus cattle will leave Western Canada and begin the long journey home to IronHorse.

These cattle represent more than the beginning of a herd. They represent years of dreaming, planning, preparing, fencing, building and believing in what IronHorse can become.

The fields are ready. The crew is ready. And before long, those red cows will finally be standing on Newfoundland pastures.

The next chapter of the IronHorse story starts at the end of this month.

From all of us here at IronHorse, we want to send our deepest condolences to our dear friends Emily and Rocky on the heartbreaking loss of Salty.

Emily and the pups have always been there when we needed a hand, and Salty was never far behind, providing moral support in fine fashion. This summer, he spent countless hours riding along with me mowing hay — memories I’ll always cherish.

I’ll never forget his slobbery kisses, huge dog hugs, and loyal companionship.

Salty, you were part of our farm family and will be deeply missed. Emily and Rocky, we love you and are always here for you.

Rest easy, Salty.
