🌈🐾 Forever Our Best Boy, Chippy 🤍
Our hearts have been broken these past week because we had to say goodbye to our sweet Chippy. After 12 beautiful years, we had to say goodbye to the best boy we could have ever asked for.
Chippy wasn't just our dog. He was family. He grew up alongside our kids, and they loved on him every bit as much as he loved them. He was there through so many seasons of our lives—always loving, always happy, and always just wanting to be close to his people.
He would sometimes come with me to the school yard to pick up the kids, and he loved everyone he met. There was never a stranger in Chippy's world—just another person he hadn't loved yet. ❤️
And bananas… oh, how he loved bananas. 🍌 The moment he heard those familiar sounds, he would come running, ready to share in one of his favourite treats.
Some of my sweetest memories are the quiet ones. Chippy would curl up beside me on the couch while we waited for my husband to come home from work. And at night, he would snuggle between my husband and me in our bed, right where he belonged.
Those are the moments that are hardest now.
The house feels different without his little sounds. The nights are especially difficult. We find ourselves listening for him, expecting to see him, expecting those familiar little footsteps and that sweet face.
There is an emptiness where our little boy used to be, and we miss him more than words can say. 💔
But we are so incredibly grateful. Grateful for 12 years of unconditional love. Grateful for every cuddle, every happy greeting, every silly moment, every banana, and every memory he gave our family.
We believe that love like his doesn't simply disappear. We believe that Chippy is now in Heaven with Jesus, free from pain, surrounded by love, and waiting patiently for the day our family is together again. ✝️🌈
