Brown's Farm Brown's farm is a family run market garden farm located in Pontypool ON specializing in homegrown seasonal vegetables & cut flowers.

The Brown's have been growing vegetables in Pontypool, ON since 1934 when Don's father, Lloyd originally bought the farm after immigrating from Ireland. Don and Mary Lou and now Kate and Ryan (Westcott) continue Lloyd's commitment to providing the Kawartha Lakes with fresh, local and sustainably grown produce.

Now Hiring: Vegetable Pickers

Brown’s Family Farms in Pontypool is looking for pickers to join us this season.

--> Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (varies depending on crops)

--> 8:00am to Noon

--> $75/morning

--> Starting July 20th

Outdoor work picking cucumber, beans, corn and other vegetables/flowers. Must be reliable and able to work doing a repetitive task. No experience needed — we’ll show you the ropes.

Yes, you heard it here first, pickle season is starting.

We have gathered the first few cucs from the field for today’s Oshawa Centre farmers market and they will continue to become more abundant in the coming weeks.

In keeping with last year, our cucs will be available on a first come first serve basis at either of our markets.

Find us today at the Oshawa Centre until 2pm.
