🚜🌱 Another important job underway at Happy Days Farm! 🌱🚜

Today we’re spreading fertilizer to help give this year’s crops the nutrients they need to grow strong and healthy. Every bag spread today is an investment in the fresh vegetables you’ll be enjoying later this season.

A lot of work happens behind the scenes before a single carrot, beet, cabbage, or potato reaches your table. From preparing the soil to planting, fertilizing, and harvesting, we’re committed to producing high-quality local food right here in Port au Port.

The 2026 growing season is well underway, and we can’t wait to share the harvest with you!

🌟 THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT WEEK! 🌟

We want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by Happy Day’s Farm this week. Your support means the world to our family and helps us continue growing local food for our community.

One of the best parts of what we do is hearing how much you enjoy the products we carry, especially our meat products. Whether it’s a steak on the BBQ, a roast for Sunday supper, or your favourite cut of pork, we love hearing your feedback!

🚜❤️ A few days ago, Ernest was out in the field planting beets, carrying on a tradition that has become very special to our family.

Last year, when our daughter Adalynn was born on May 31st, Ernest was planting beets. Ever since then, we decided we wanted to make it a tradition that every year on her birthday, Ernest would be planting beets.

This year, things didn’t quite go as planned. Although he was working the field on Adalynn’s birthday, he didn’t get the beets planted that day. A few days later, however, the beets finally went in the ground.

So, while the date was off by a little, the tradition lives on. ❤️

In the years to come, when May 31st rolls around, you’ll know exactly what Ernest will be doing—out in the field planting beets and thinking about the little girl who inspired the tradition.

Happy Birthday, Adalynn. Here’s to many more years of beet planting and special memories at Happy Days Farm. 🌱
