Big flavour. Cold beer. Hot grill. Our Beer Brats with Charred Peppers & Onions are everything summer grilling should be.
Beer Brats with Charred Peppers & Onions
Ingredients:
4 Arctic Bratwurst sausages
1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil
1 yellow onion, sliced
2 bell peppers, sliced
1 bottle (341 mL) lager beer
4 brat buns – or large hot dog buns
Mustard Sauce:
3 tbsp (45 mL) Dijon mustard
2 tbsp (30 mL) mayonnaise
1 tsp (5 mL) honey
Instructions:
Heat grill to medium-high heat.
Place onions and peppers in a grill basket with olive oil. Grill vegetables for 10–12 minutes until lightly charred. Simmer beer in a skillet on the grill. Add bratwurst and simmer 8 minutes.
Transfer sausages directly to grill and cook another 6–8 minutes until browned.
Mix mustard sauce ingredients.
Toast buns.
Assemble with grilled brats, peppers, onions and mustard sauce.

Top with crispy fried onions and fresh parsley.
