How are you? Did you survive the wind? The tree I talking about yesterday morning did not. And it took a couple smaller trees down with it. And my Neighbours’ power 😬. I suspect Hydro employees were extra busy throughout Norfolk County yesterday.

Hiya Neighbourinos!

Everyone is always asking if we have plans for the summer. And to be honest, we rarely feel like we have the bandwidth to wrap our heads around the question. Life is basically lather, rinse, repeat.

So we’ve decided to take one Saturday off each month this summer; to have a Date Night or spend time with family.

Apologies to Everyone who can only stop by on Saturdays!! There will still be lots of Summer Sandwich Saturdays!!

How are you this morning? Is Everyone alright out there? This wind is INSANE and I’m watching a tree between my house and my Neighbours’ crack and break. Eeeeek!

REMINDER: It’s Father’s Day this Sunday June 21st! And Dad would probably love a Gift Card for sandwiches. It’s scientifically proven that Dads love sandwiches. OR, if you’re planning a BBQ, we have all beef Woof Dawgs in store ($11/4). They’re one of the best hot dogs I’ve had (great snap!) and they’re made by one of Port Dover’s own.

SECOND REMINDER We will be closed this Saturday June 20th!! And back at 11 am Tuesday June 23rd.

Good Morning Neighbourinos!

How is your morning? Guess who’s back? Matz Fruit Barn ! It’s their official Season Opener today! Another item to check off my ‘Summer 2026’ list. I’ve already been hearing the Bird Cannon for days (another ✅). If you find yourself on the Simcoe side of Highway #6 today, you should probably pop in for some fresh strawberries and some of the last asparagus of the season.

How are you this morning? Did you get caught in the rain on Sunday? I was waiting for it to come all day, and when it came, it really came down! I bet plants were happy to have a deep watering like that.

Good Morning Neighbourinos!

How are you today? Something very, very exciting and adorable is happening in Port Dover today: The Arbor Dog Races at the Port Dover Harbour Museum! I can barely contain myself over the level of cuteness that is going to be all in one place. Best of luck to all the participants! I’ll make sure to have our water bowl outside today for any pups that might need it.

If you have also been curious, today’s your day. There are a few different flavours. Lakeside has a pretty decent Kool-Aid selection 😎.

How are you? Summer vacation is so close! It’s less than 3 weeks until July 1st!! Are some of you working on your float designs yet? Oohhhhh… what about Soap Boxes? Is the derby a better race now that it’s down Main Street? It always used to be down Chapman Street when we were kids. July 1st is such a great Port Dover Day; I’m getting nostalgic and excited just thinking about it.
