💚 A HUGE THANK YOU! 💚

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Square Roots Community Market this past Wednesday! Your support means so much to us and our local vendors. 🌱🛍️

We were certainly working against the clock this time, with our produce not arriving until 2:45 PM! 😅 But we rolled up our sleeves, worked like busy little bees 🐝, and got everything ready for our wonderful community.

A special shout-out and heartfelt THANK YOU to Andrea, Michele, Kyle, Cheryl, and Shilo for jumping in and helping make it all happen. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💚

It truly takes a community to make a community market, and we’re so grateful for everyone who helps make Square Roots special. Together, we’re working toward our goal of making fresh produce accessible to everyone while supporting local makers and reducing waste. 🥕🍎

Square Roots brings fresh produce from Nova Scotia farms to the Civic Centre in Port Hawkesbury. These volunteers provide affordable fruit and vegetables while also welcoming other local vendors. It was really nice to talk to everyone and share some stories and some laughs. We still don’t have a rhyme for rutabaga.

🌿 LAMEY BROOKE FARMS 🌿

The Strait Area Community Curling Club was established way back in 1966, during the industrial boom of the Strait Area. We can only imagine that if those walls could talk, they would have some incredible stories to tell from the past 60 years! ❤️

The club has always been a wonderful place for fun, friendship, and community — both on and off the ice.

Now, they’re looking for YOU to join them! 🎉 They have some fantastic offers available for new members, so be sure to stop by their table, say hello, and see what they have to offer.
