This evening, I had the privilege of celebrating Infused Handcrafted on their 10-year anniversary! If you know Lauren, you know what a warm, bubbly, and amazing human she is. I’m so glad to call her a new friend—someone who truly believes in supporting others and has been a cheerleader for my flower farming journey.

I’ve always believed that we should all work together, because that’s how we all succeed. Congratulations, Lauren, on 10 incredible years of Infused! I can’t wait to see what you do next with your flower farm journey, and just by being your cheerful, amazing self. We need more people like you in our communities, small business owners who support and rally around each other.

A day well spent in the garden! We planted roughly 1,500 seedlings, and my helpers and I watered all the beds. We still have about the same amount left to plant, plus around 25 peony plants and many more flowers to get in the ground.
At this point, we have nearly 2,000 sunflowers planted, and they’re already starting to pop up.

Our dahlias are coming up as well, and it’s shaping up to be a bright, beautiful season.

With so many flowers and so many different varieties, the garden is full of promise. It was a wonderful day, and thanks to some amazing helpers, the work went by so quickly.

As May comes to an end, so does lilac season… and every year I feel like it passes far too quickly. Lilacs have always been one of my favourite spring flowers — the colours, the soft textures, and especially that unforgettable scent. One smell and suddenly I’m wrapped in memories.

We’re lucky to have a few lilac trees on our property, and I love cutting fresh blooms to bring inside. But what many of you may not know is that my love for lilacs comes deeply from my grandmother. Some of my most heartfelt memories are tied to lilac season — taking country drives together, stopping along quiet roadsides, and finding those beautiful “ditch lilacs” growing wild.

If you’ve ever driven through the countryside of Northumberland County this time of year, you know exactly what I mean. Roads lined with lilacs in every shade imaginable — deep purple, soft lavender, pure white — all absolutely stunning.

Even though I have lilacs at home, I still find myself heading out for a country drive and cutting a few wild ones, just like we used to. It’s tradition, memory, and comfort all wrapped into one simple bouquet.

Not everyone is blessed with rows of lilacs on their property, but sometimes the sweetest moments come from slowing down, taking that drive, clipping a few blooms, and bringing a little spring joy home to your kitchen table. 🌸

Lilac season never lasts long, so don’t miss it. Go make the memories while you can. 💜

Some people may say I have a slight plant problem… but our greenhouse is bursting with over 2,000 baby seedlings just waiting to jump into the soil. 🌱✨

We’ve already planted a bunch, and honestly, I’m not sure where the rest are going because we’re quickly running out of room. The dahlias are in the ground, and somehow… there are still more seeds to start. 🌸

This year is going to be FULL of flowers , and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💐

June is almost here, which means flower season is right around the corner 🌸✨

Our first flowers went into the ground a couple weeks ago, and now it’s all hands on deck to get the rest of our baby seedlings planted into their new home. This year we’re expanding the flower field and being extra intentional about what we grow — choosing the blooms that bring us the most joy and the flowers you all love most 💐

The next few weeks will be busy in the garden with planting, laying fabric, and getting everything settled in, but for the first time in a while, it feels like we’re right on track 🌱 Last year we were playing catch-up, but this season we’re hoping to get beautiful flowers into your hands even sooner.

We have so many stunning blooms coming this year and we truly cannot wait to share them with you 🤍
