Family-run farm featuring Pick your own Apples, Pears and Pumpkins (Fall) as well as Peaches and Strawberries (Summer). We also have a Bakery Cafe, Gourmet Retail, Corn Maze, Tractor Rides and a huge Play Area for all ages! Always Helpful. We look forward to seeing you!

Can anyone spare a cup of coffee for Farmer Joe? ☕️

Did you know when the temps are as cool as they have been this time of year that Farmer Joe has to work around the clock to ensure the buds and blossoms stay cozy and warm? 🌸

Frost damages the buds and flowers - without those buds and flowers there is no apples for the season 😬

How does he warm up the trees you ask? Well he tried tucking them all in with warm blankets but he didn’t get very far 🙈 The farm has these snazzy wind machines that force the cold air up and the warm air down. The next time you’re at the farm take a look for them in the orchard! The downside? They can be loud 😳

That being said, Farmer Joe called this morning and had a little message for our neighborhood friends ..

“Thank you to our neighbors who have put up with the constant background noise of our wind machines over the last little bit. We promise it will be worth it come the fall when we have the most delicious apples for the community! We are hopeful that tonight will be one of the last nights we have to power these bad boys on!” ☀️

Keep your fingers crossed that warmer temperatures are on the way, that Farmer Joe gets a hot coffee this morning, and maybe an afternoon nap one of these days!

Our 2026 Self Serve is officially SOLD OUT!

What an amazing season! How lucky is our community to have had access to farm fresh apples until MAY! 🤯🍎

In the meantime keep an eye on our socials for all the latest news and updates on the farm! Strawberries will be available early to mid-June! 🍓

We’re Hiring! 🍎📣

At Great Lakes Farms you’ll find people and busy and fun all over the place - but the Apple Barn is truly where the magic happens (and the pies get baked 😉🥧).

We are looking for an Apple Barn Manager - someone who can keep things organized, looking great, shelves stocked, employees busy, and customers happy. We need someone who can run the show and not sweat it when the line up is out the door …. Yes, this does happen on occasion 😂

✨ You might be our person if you:

🍎 Have experience in retail, café, or bakery
🍏 Love working with people - truly you have to love it!
🍎 Can juggle 10 things at once without dropping the apples (apples are like eggs .. be gentle!)
🍏 Have natural leadership skills where people can turn to you and you handle it
🍎 A busy, fast-paced environment doesn’t scare you but excites you
🍏 Willing to help with social media content
🍎 Can confidently run a POS system
🍏 Are organized, self-driven, and can get things DONE
🍎 Have a soft spot for agriculture and fresh air
🍺 Smart Serve Certified (or willing to obtain)!

This is a leadership role during our busiest season—reliability, initiative, and availability are essential.

📅 Full-time: June–November
➕ Option for part-time beyond the season

Due to the weather we have CLOSED the self-serve stand at the farm today.

Pending the weather, we will plan to open back up tomorrow at 9am as usual.
