moving these Cosmos up a bit to harden off before putting them in the ground FINALLY. This weather has been killing us- so wet and cold! These are started in tiny little blocks of soil to save space under the lights and on the heat mats, but you can see they can REALLY outgrow the blocks. After this (slow, delicate) task of separating the roots, I put each seedling in a tray or second block prepared with extra compost and a mycorrhizal innoculant to help those roots grab all the nutrition from the soil. I love seeing how long some of these roots get!! What do you guys love about planting?

Oh boy, our truck is not feeling well today. Poor baby! As a result, we MOST LIKELY won't be attending the Powassan Farmers' Market tomorrow! If we miss out tomorrow, we'll be there JUNE 6TH with a some more seedling sets, and to say hello!

This weekend just down the road from us!!

Some ground rules for Saturday:

1. Be polite! It's a busy day - expect to wait a bit, we'll try to get people through as fast as possible!

2. 10% off in stock feed - so if we run out we're out. We have stocked up quite a bit but you never know. Limit of 20 bags for the 10% off - then regular price for the rest (still great pricing)!

3. Be polite...I can't say this enough.....😅

4. Look at the animals you buy! We do a walk around and tell vendors to bring only the happiest and healthiest animals - but some slip through and its the responsibility of the buyer to make sure they are happy with the animal they are purchasing. If you have doubts walk away.

5. If you start to feel angry, sad or otherwise depressed- start dancing I'm sure that will make you feel better and will allow you to continue be polite.

6. Next year we'll move this event to a larger location so we'll have more vendors, more space and more parking. Be patient, be polite and have fun 👍 .

7. Donations this year will be going towards All Heart Pet Rescue and Little Paws Pet Rescue. So donate what you can! Last year we had a great turnout and lots of donations.

8. Don't ask what's in our coffee cups....it's coffee 🤫...move on 😅🤣🤣

Thanks to everyone who bought some cutflower seedlings yesterday in Powassan! Please let us know how they grow in your gardens. We'll be at the Powassan Farmers' Market next Saturday with some remaining seedling packs for sale and more info about our Summer Bouquet availability!!
