Arena dry update day… honestly, we’ve lost count 😅 BUT the important part is… it is finally ready!

After a good discing, harrowing, and even rototilling the edges, the arena is looking great and officially ready for the season ahead. It feels good to finally see sand instead of snow, water, and mud after all the waiting.

Now we just need some hoof prints in it! 🐴☀️

Breeding update! 🐴

Navy is officially in heat and look at that nice big follicle! 🤩 If all goes according to plan, she should be bred by tomorrow. Her culture and cytology treatment plan has also been completed.

Tobi is still hanging onto a large follicle and persistently trying to get rid of it. The good news is that nothing showed up on her culture and cytology.

Fingers crossed for these girls as we keep moving forward! 💕

Day 14 of the arena dry update… and well, I feel like we are back at square one ❄️🙈

After finally seeing dirt, dry ground, and thinking harrowing might happen this weekend, Mother Nature had other plans. We woke up to the arena covered in a fresh blanket of snow again. Safe to say there will be no harrowing happening this weekend.

Spring in Saskatchewan sure likes to keep us guessing! Here’s hoping this snow disappears as fast as it came and we can get back on track soon.
