POV: You begged to come on the adventure… then acted like we ruined your whole life. 🥺😂

Took the dogs to Hixon Falls expecting core memories, happy zoomies and nature appreciation.

Instead we got this face.

No thoughts. No joy. Just one dramatic Victorian child who looks like we made her hike uphill both ways and personally offended her by providing fresh air.

For the record:
✔️ Tail wagging
✔️ Sniffed every stick
✔️ Peed on all the trees
✔️ Attempted to swim
✔️ Accepted snacks
✔️ Scaled a steep embankment and knocked a log onto the trail
✔️ Found a lost phone in the water
✔️ Had an excellent day

We now have an 11 year old!! Happy belated birthday Elias. You’re a gentle, old soul, a fashionista who loves our animals like no other. You’re almost taller than me now and have already surpassed your Dad’s shoe size (size 11 at 11 🤯). You are an avid reader and want to be a writer when you grow up. I can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve in this life little man. Love you to the moon and back.
