Our stand is open and stocked with sourdough plain and cheese loaves. We also have some eggs today.

We are also at the community market today at Veterans Square. We have sourdough loaves and some sourdough brownies, along with our skin care and bath products.

Good morning and happy Friday!
Thank you everyone that supports my stand even without a weekend post. 🩷
I don’t always make it inside to post before my morning chores start 🤪
This weekend we of course have loves of SD and eggs. We have a few loaves of cowboy candy cheese bread going down as well.
We got a hold of some delicious blackberries, BC sourced so we’ll be busy making some deliciousness out of them
Of course there will be our famous blackberry jam, taking pre orders so please let me know if you’d like a 500ml or 250ml jar.

Today we have regular SD loaves and a new Mocha Madness loaf 😋
There is also Buttermilk Chocolate Chip & Coffee Cake mini muffins available.

We now have tallow sunscreen to keep your skin protected from the sun.

How many of you have tried Quail eggs?
Not only are they the most adorable things ever but they pack a powerful punch of goodness!

Rich in protein: They provide high-quality protein, which helps build and repair muscles, tissues, skin, and hair.
* Packed with vitamins: They are a great source of vitamins B12, riboflavin (B2), vitamin A, and folate, all of which support energy production, vision, and healthy cells.
* High in minerals: They contain iron, selenium, phosphorus, and zinc, which support immune function, red blood cell production, thyroid health, and strong bones.
* Healthy fats: They contain healthy fats that help absorb fat-soluble vitamins and support brain function.
* Antioxidants: Quail eggs provide antioxidants such as selenium and vitamin A, which help protect cells from damage.

Now if we compared these tiny beauties (quail) to the lovely ladies (chickens)

* Have more nutrients per gram, although they’re much smaller.
* Usually contain a slightly higher proportion of fat and cholesterol.
* Some say they taste richer and creamier, however my family and I can’t tell the difference
* One chicken egg is roughly equivalent to 4–5 quail eggs in size and nutrition.

I can’t wait to try them pickled!
