In Season Edibles

In Season Edibles a fruit and veg garden market, on the beautiful Sunrise Trail, NS

I thought I should up-date the info on the farm gate service, I have finally learned that I cannot do everything (I know its hard to believe) so 2 yrs ago I asked my little brother to move home from Alberta... I couldnt do anymore growing and the stand was doing well..so HE did...and he is now growing for In Season Edibles also...so this year when you stop in you may see his smiling face across t

he table. His farm is growing well and its completely off grid..its amazing what he produces, all non-sprayed and fresh daily..between his farm and mine, we may be able to keep the stand stocked 7days/week...We'll see you at the shore!!

Our fifth year....WOW!!

We are a small market garden that grows and harvests right on site. We never use pesticides or herbicides of any kind. We’ve been working on making our own compost (which is not as easy as I thought) and we try to do everything to enhance the health of the soil, and produce the most nutritious plants. This will be our fifth year and there is so much happening to get ready! I’ve been planting seeds already (March 8) and my house is full to the top. Once the weather warms enough, they’ll all be transferred to the greenhouse. That was a great investment and I see another one (hopefully heated) in the future. We always grow a few new types veg each year, but we keep planting our favourites for the customers that love them. We have 5 beautiful apple trees and we planted 3 pear and 3 plum trees a few yrs ago, fingers crossed they flourish! We also have beautiful raspberries and planted 500 more feet of canes! You can stop in and usually see us working in one of the 5 different vegetable gardens. This is our fifth year in operation and we cant wait for spring to be able to get at it again with many more new ideas! So, If your travelling the beautiful Sunrise Trail in Nova Scotia, stop in, you never know what will be In Season!!
