If you are going to do something do it yourself. That’s why we put a lot of love and care into our food. We make our own bagels, our own brioche for our burger buns, our own bacon, our own smoked salmon, smoked brisket, our own sourdough rye bread, sausages, desserts, cheese… well you get the idea. Pretty much everything is made here and by hand. We make artisan Montreal inspired food, prepared si

mply for you so you can taste the quality! We have the luxury of having our own smoke house on site so everything is cured and smoked here, and fresh every day. Quality food doesn’t have to be expensive, and we think we keep it pretty reasonable. Unlike a lot of places these days, we are small and independent, defintely the underdogs in the big corporate world, but what we do have that money can’t buy is an authentic experience, with quality food, a friendly and personal team and Al himself looking after you.

Well I don’t know how I missed this. This man was a bloody legend and wrote so many timeless classics. A true musical genius of his and many eras! I was lucky enough to attend a few of his shows in Auckland and look after him backstage. On of my biggest career highlights was having him ask for me to come into the green room during dinner so he could stand up and thank me for the best food and hospitality that they had had on tour. Burt Bacharach, thank you!

OK so, introduced this to me this year. My lifetime introducer of all things amazing! And I didn’t know what to think. But all I know is that I couldnt stop thinking about it. So I recreated it, Chinese chiffon cake, kind of frosted lightly with mayo and dusted in pork fluff. (Dried pork, pulverized into ”fluff”. Salty, sweet, cold out of the fridge. Interesting combination of textures and flavours and temperature. My son wasn’t sure if he liked it but ate most of it. Highly reccomend. Available at .ca
