Beef!! 🥩
Hi everyone! Posting on our farm page- before I post on other groups incase someone is interested in supporting a local youth in 4H 🙂
Posting on behalf of my 9 yr old, Savannah.
This is her first year showing beef in PQB 4H Beef!
This is her steer McGregor, he is a purebred Black Angus.
She has been in charge of feeding, watering, cleaning his pen out, spending time with him daily (reading her books to him too haha), walking him around.
She will be showing at some of the local fairs on the island between August and September, he is set to go to Gunters September 19th.
She is selling him for $7.5/lb live weight at her last fair (which will either be first or second weekend in September), she has half of him sold currently. So she has half available.
*cut and wrap is extra at charge of gunters pricing*
ALL of the money will go to her; she has a little to pay back for the cost of him, as well as cost of feed/bedding/random things she has needed. Then the remaining will go into her savings and also towards her next project.
