☕️ LOCAL LOVE: GRANVILLE’S COFFEE.
Granville's Coffee

This week, a little shout out and some Local Love for Granville’s!

We’re proud to have a connection with this business! Ted reached out to us before we were even off the ground saying how important it was to him to work and support local. ❤️ we immediately began roasting and supplying a good chunk of Quesnel with coffee haha! Fast forward a couple years later we are very grateful for Ted giving a couple newbies on the block a chance.

Now Granvilles is one of our favourite connections in this business. It’s a big family every time we step in the shop and are greeted and welcomed by all the amazing staff. I’m sure the rest of Quesnel and tourists will agree. Granvilles is just special.

So here’s to good coffee and great people.

🖤☕️ Cheers, Quesnel!

☕️ MEET THE COFFEE: ETHIOPIA

Bright. Smooth. A little fruity. And definitely not boring. 🌿

Our Ethiopia is a beautiful coffee for anyone who loves a cup with a little more brightness and character. Expect a smooth cup with lively acidity and delicious fruity notes.

If your usual coffee is on the darker, richer side, Ethiopia is a fun one to try when you’re ready to switch things up. It’s one of our favourites!

☕️ Try it as a espresso or a pour over

What’s it looks like this Friday Morning ☀️There’s something pretty special about being able to roast coffee right here in my home town and share it with people both near and far. 🖤

It’s been a busy week in the roastery ☕️
We ran 34 roast cycles, moving through 300 lbs of coffee to keep everything stocked and fresh.

Just because it’s hot and sunny out doesn’t mean coffee consumption has slowed down one bit — you’ve been keeping us on our toes!

Fresh coffee is flying out the door, and we’re grateful for every bit of it.

While we may be a little biased. There is science that backs it up that yes it is good news 😊

Let’s break it down ⬇️

Coffee beans are a plant. 🌱 coffee beans grow as cherries on the plants and these little cherries contain antioxidants!

Not all coffee is equal- Higher quality beans ( usually from local roasters) can make a huge difference in just how many health benifts your going to get from a cup.

Freshly roasted beans usually retain more aroma compounds and beneficial polyphenols, while better sourcing and roasting can reduce stale and burnt flavours as well. Think shopping local- fresher- higher quality sourcing.

Light-medium-roasts often preserve more of coffees key antioxidants ( good thing we never over roast our coffee- even our darker roast Cowboy Coffee is roasted with care to a higher temp while preserving the integrity of the bean)

Polyphenols benifts 🤎 help reduce oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals that can damage cells over time. Can reduce inflammation, benifts for heart health, brain health and gut microbiome support.

local beans + maybe a little less sugar = best brews

Our signature roast is back 🇹🇿

Tanzania Peaberry beans have officially returned, and we couldn’t be more excited. If you didn’t know this is our signature roast and it can be one of the most difficult beans to import mostly due to crops and travel logistics.

Known for their bright, vibrant character, this coffee delivers a beautifully balanced cup with notes of juicy citrus, subtle berry sweetness, and a smooth, clean finish.

If you’ve had it before, you already know. If you haven’t—this is the one to try.
