We caught the first swarm and we lost the second one, but I had helpers! 🥰
It's officially swarm season! 🐝🐝🐝

"Nasanoving"
We confused these girls when we switched up their box so they are using this behavior to guide lost bees home.
They are using their wings to spread a homing scent (pheromone) from their nasanov gland which smells similar to lemongrass, maybe a little bit like banana as well. We often see this behaviour during swarms! 🐝
