Discovered this guy in the garden... On a leaf of a cosmos flower that wasn't showing any damage... I do have some aphids on nearby Amaranth but no damage to cosmos... Do you know what it is? Did an image search and was sure enough to squish it... Know what it is? (Reference- about the size of my pinky nail, it did play dead when I first put it on the piece of wood , crawls like beetle... )

I acquired some local sweet corn because I only have the ornamental stuff planted (and frankly- sweet corn take a lot of attention to do right)... Farm stand 9am-1pm today Sunday Aug 30
