A little life update from The YQR Sourdough Lady! 🤎🍞

First off... sorry I've been MIA lately! Summer has been incredibly busy between working full-time, attending markets, keeping up with wholesale orders, and trying to soak up every bit of the short Saskatchewan summer. ☀️

I've decided I won't be doing any more markets for the rest of the summer. This will allow me to focus on what matters most—making sure I'm providing the freshest, highest-quality sourdough, bagels, focaccia, cookies, and other goodies for Rosemount Hardware each week.

If you've been missing seeing me at markets, don't worry! I'll still have a selection of fresh bread, focaccia, and bagels available at the Clay People Open House on August 14 & 15, and I'd love to see you there.

Thank you so much for your patience, your support, and for following along on this sourdough journey. Your encouragement means more than you know, and I'm so excited for what's ahead! 🥯🍪🍞🤎

When life gives you overproofed, unsalted sourdough... make croutons! 😂🍞✨

This weekend, I somehow forgot to add salt to 5 loaves of bread and overproofed them at the same time. Definitely not one of my finest baking moments. 😅

Instead of throwing them away, I turned the dough into focaccia, baked it off, and then transformed it into the most delicious homemade croutons ☺️

Now it's time to enjoy those homemade croutons on a fresh salad made with lettuce straight from my garden. 🥬✨
