Guess who is having another day off, so close tomorrow due to water shut off

Maybe you wonder it’s only until 12?

Cuz I need 1.5 hr to prepare fresh boba and tea and other stuff every morning to make sure it’s fresh, plus if they say 12, usually will be little later

So I don’t think I can make it happen tomorrow

Well, just a quick record video of yesterday coffee roasting first time ever in my life

Made few mistakes but so much fun, and lots to learn before serving my bean to my customers

However, just like my coffee and bartending skill. Practice makes perfect.

And if you are curious what roasting looks like, it will be fun to watch.

Remember open the sound, you can hear coffee bean drop, popping , like ASMR?

《Membership》

Heyy, Ray here again.
And yes, finally we got our own membership program!

So I was thinking how my membership works for a long time. I hate punch cards, it’s everywhere and boring, and I don’t wanna a membership is only be purchased by money. And something fun and creative and unique.

That’s why I haven’t really done anything until one day I see one of my coffee owner friend in Taiwan using the time punch machine for their members.

I’m like wow, that’s something fun!
I told him I gonna steal the idea, and here we are!

Old fashion way, remember the old times we have to punch our time when go and off the work?

Same thing!

You punch yourself in every time you coming buy a drink, more than 5 times, you got something. More than 10 times, you got something better for whole next month.

Punch card just $5, and write your name, nickname, whatever I will keep for you next to machine. So you never forget, cuz I will remember for you.

“I don’t wanna reward how much you spend, but reward how often you come back”

So come often, not spend more!

I will not tell you if you wanna do it, I think it’s really and totally up to you, I don’t like force and upsell.

Hey sup guys, here’s owner Ray

So good news and bad news

From May, I unfortunately need do a little change on hours of weekend
So Weekend open hour will be 10 am - 6 pm just like any other days,
Monday remain close.

Hours will be
Tue-Sun. 10am - 6pm

Here’s why, also a good news.
I have been asked a lot, to prepare more food and dessert choices, however I was toooo lazy to do so. But we got a commercial kitchen to use to prepare things now!

Thus, in order to keep everything fresh, I will need more time after work to prepare food and sweet for another day daily (That’s why I can’t open till 8pm for now), but hopefully after I figure a way out. I can extend more hours for everyone.

Another reason is roasting the coffee bean.

Most of you might see my new big toy in shop, roasting is an art that required lots learning and practicing to delivery the best quality to our coffee lover.

And I do not have too much time to do so in day time when the business is running since I am still new to this. So I will mostly do this in night time for now. Which makes me pretty much no time to rest (I also run the bar at Avenue)

So truly sorry for inconvenience changing hours but all for better result and I will make it longer soon!

I recently kinda curious how customers will describe my shop, so I asked chatgpt.

Some update ahead, there’s not so much going on in shop these couple months because I enjoy my winter adventure too much (I’m winter hiker and snowboarder).

But I will begin to change winter hour to summer hour from beginning of April!

And I will put focus back to my job afterward I promised (So more event or fun thing happening)

Like, you see there’s taro, and there’s strawberry, well, you can order strawberry taro bubble tea even it’s not on menu. So welcome to challenge me to make your idea becoming your favourite drinks. (Absolutely not because I am too lazy to update my menu)

And I got some friends gonna visit me from Taiwan in end of March, so I might close for a week by end of March to show them how nice Canada is, I will update this again.
