We air-roast fairtrade, organic, quality coffee at our rural property on beautiful St. Joseph Island. And, we guarantee, it tastes good. We aim to create an environmentally, socially responsible business and to fuel others in Northern Ontario with similar goals. Before we started our business, we decided that we would only purchase and roast organic Fairtrade coffee. Organic farming protects the farmers, wildlife, water systems, you, and us, from harmful chemicals and pesticides while Fairtrade helps farmers and their workers earn enough to improve the lives of their families and build healthier, more prosperous communities. Where we sourced the coffee, and from whom, became the foundation of our business. So, not only are we offering you a great tasting coffee, we are offering you a product that can make you feel good—about where it came from and how it has ended up in your hands.

Description:
Energetic and thoughtful person to help roast and package coffee in house at St.
Joseph Island Roasters. Weekdays only (9:30 to 5:00 shift).
Will train the right person in all aspects of coffee roasting.

Required Skills:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Able to lift 6 kgs on a regular basis.
Able to lift 25 kgs occasionally.
Able reach above head.
Able to crouch.
Knowledge of organic and Fair Trade standards an asset (but not required).
Ability to work independently in a very active environment.
Assist drop in customers from time-to-time.
