A little piece of community found its way home. 💙🌿
Sometimes the pieces you didn’t even know you were missing have a way of finding you.
I was gifted this beautiful old hutch from someone in our community who I had only just met. She was driving by, saw it sitting on the side of the road, and thought of me.
And she was absolutely right.
I added a little chicken wire, brought it into the greenhouse farm stand, and suddenly it felt like the missing piece.
It fits this space perfectly.
The old wood, the character, the little imperfections… it feels like it belongs here. And I love that it wasn’t something I went looking for. It simply found its way to us.
That is so much of what Big Blue Farmhouse is about—using what we have, repurposing, upcycling, and giving old things a new purpose.
And now, as we begin growing Roots to Ritual, creating products from what we grow here on the farm, this little hutch has become part of that story too.
From the lavender growing in the field…
to the products we’re creating…
to the old pieces being given a new life…
everything seems to be finding its place. 💙
I’m so grateful for the kindness and generosity that continues to find its way to this little farmhouse.
It truly takes a community. 🌿
