I have a PB Red/Blue laced Wyandotte that is a little special needs. When I got her she was suffering from a vitamin deficiency due to bullying and also ended up with a back injury.

She walks kinda wonky, can jump and fly to low levels. She still says eggs and is happy.
But does better in small groups. I’ve only ever had her in a pen of 7 chickens. She doesn’t travel far from the coop.

She is now looking for a new coop as I am making room for growouts. She comes with a saddle.

I gave this determined sweet girl 2 eggs to hatch. She refused to leave her little nest for weeks. I did not have any expectations for anything to actually happen, but this morning she has a beautiful baby! And the other egg is pipped! Good job Momma!

What do you think? The whole white one is hen or roo?

My last hatch was a failure.

Even though I did get chicks and ducklings I lost about 50%.

I’ve been using my new incubator and trying new hatching methods.

I struggled with maintaining humidity while incubating and temperature issues while Hatching.

There will always been hard lessons learned and growing pains when experimenting with new equipment/methods.

So what does this mean!? I need more practice.

I will likely set another batch of chicks, ducks and poults until I figure these things out.

Please let me know if you would like me to set a specific breed for you, I still have 4 chicken pens going.
