Rosseau General Store Groceries & Provisions since 1874 It was early August and the bell above the door announced a steady seamless chime as people entered.

I remember the first time walking into the store and feeling a good energy all around and a sort of kinship with the shoppers and shopkeepers of years gone by. The original wood floors spoke out by squeaking with every step taken. I could smell the morning baking wafting out of the kitchen. I heard warm and friendly staff greet all patrons as if they were long time friends. We ended our visit with

a sugar cone from the summer store. Little did we know that just 7 months later, my wife and I would own the establishment. Sincerely Brian & Laurie - Shopkeepers

Five days of hot, fresh comfort food waiting for you at the Rosseau General Store and we’re bringing the Philly Cheese Steak back this week!

Here’s what’s cooking:

MONDAY — Peameal Bacon Sandwich
A Canadian classic. Hot peameal piled onto a fresh bun — simple, hearty and delicious.

TUESDAY — Hot Roast Beef Sandwich
Tender roast beef served hot on a fresh bun. One of those Rosseau favourites that never disappoints!

WEDNESDAY — WINGS
Crispy, saucy and packed with flavour. There’s a reason Wednesday has become Wings Day around here!

THURSDAY — PHILLY CHEESE STEAK
Thinly sliced beef, sautéed peppers & onions and plenty of melted cheese on a toasted bun. Come hungry for this one!

FRIDAY — ROTISSERIE CHICKEN ALL DAY!

We're growing our team!

Rosseau General Store is looking for a Customer Service & Food Retail Associate to join us full-time, year-round.

You'll work alongside our butcher and store manager, helping customers, learning the meat counter, keeping our shelves and displays looking great, and being part of the crew that makes this place feel like home for our regulars.

While experience as a Butcher a plus, what we're really looking for the right attitude, a strong work ethic, and someone who genuinely enjoys people and food. We'll teach you the rest.
