🥚 A little egg PSA from Dreamview Farm! 🐓🤎
Stock up for Thanksgiving weekend coming up! The hens have been laying like crazy 🤪.
We get asked when is the best time to come by for eggs, and the answer is… pretty much always! 😂
With nearly 100 hens here on the farm, it’s actually pretty rare for us to completely sell out. Our eggs are collected fresh every day and are never more than 7 days old — and honestly, they never even stick around that long!
Our eggs are washed (scrubbed with warm water) and refrigerated before they make their way into the stand. Once washed and kept properly refrigerated, eggs can stay fresh for up to 4 weeks — so when you’re taking home eggs that were laid within the last few days, you’ve got plenty of freshness ahead of you! 🥚✨
We still encourage everyone to practice good food handling and handwashing when handling farm-fresh eggs because, after all… they do come out of a chicken butt. 😂🐔
There’s no need to wait for the weekend or for us to make an “eggs are stocked!” post. If you need a dozen, you can stop by the farm stand any day of the week. The stand is open even after dark until 8PM, we have installed a solar light inside!
PLEASE remember to help us by recycling ♻️ your cartons! You can leave them in the stand!
