Oxalic Acid Glycerin treatments need to be used with precaution. Over dose will cause colony issues and treatment through confinement, including cold spring will kill colonies. Using this product with certain parameters will hold mite populations down throughout late spring and throughout summer.
I copied this from a post by Ian Stepler. I find him to be a decent source to get info from. He tests these things which I am a bit to cautious to do because I don’t have as many hives as he does.

Ok calm down! Let your brain rest for a bit. You can’t do much for them right now just let them drift into winter. I have to keep saying this to myself. I won’t wrap them for winter for about another month and it’s just hard to not go and think I can do something with them but the best thing for them is to let them bee.

We finished extracting the rest of the honey yesterday. This year was a very different year in many ways. The fall flow was disappointing. I would estimate that we only got about half of what I would expect considering the amount of hives we had in honey and the strength.
I myself don’t produce honey because my main focus is selling bees and queens then the rest of the summer I’m just trying to get my hives up to being strong enough to go into winter so across all of my hives I made 32 lbs. the only reason I need to make honey is to pay the people that own the properties where I keep my bees. So this year I needed 105.6 lbs so I used the honey my bees made and I bought honey from my grandkids to fill the rest of the jars. They like the idea that it comes out of the extractor and immediately turns into money. It’s nice to have the extraction part done so we can start working on winter prep and hopefully some cleanup around the bee yards.
