A box of berries looks pretty simple once it reaches the market table.
It isn’t.
Before it gets there, someone grew it, watched the weather, picked it, sorted it, packed it, loaded it, drove it across the Island, set up a tent, worked the market, packed everything back up… and then got ready to do it all again.
There are days around here when it honestly feels like we grow more fruit than we have hands for. 😂 But somehow, this little team keeps moving.
From the family keeping the farm growing, to the crew in the fields and packing areas, to the people hauling berries to markets all over the Island, to the behind-the-scenes photos, design and promotion from our local in house artist ~there are a lot of people inside every one of these boxes.
And they work **hard**.
Farming doesn’t always come with much applause. Most of the work happens long before anyone sees the beautiful part.
So today, this post is just for them.
And for every person who stops at our stand, buys a pint, shares one of our posts, tells a neighbor about us, or chooses local when they could have chosen something easier ~ you are part of this too.
Thank you for helping keep Island farms growing. ❤️🌱
