2026 Maple Season is coming to a close, it's been a busy month! 🍁🇨🇦🍁

Finishing Process: After collecting syrup off the evaporator at approximately 218.8°F (depending on barometric pressure), it's finished over propane in separate batches of approx. 40 liters each.
The red line on the top of the hydrometer indicates the 'hot test', meaning the syrup has reached the proper sugar concentration of 59 Brix.
It's now ready to be filtered and bottled 🍁😋

We had the awesome privilege of hosting the Dorchester Beavers and Cubs at the sugarwoods last evening. We learned all about installing and fixing maple lines, collecting sap, and even got to try some yummy maple syrup! 🍁 😋
