Some barns are designed to keep riders comfortable. Others are designed to develop your full potential.
And those are not always the same thing.
Developing you means sometimes saying no.
It means telling you what you need to hear - not just what you want to hear.
It means drilling the basics when youād rather be jumping bigger.
Working on your strength when youād rather be doing something more fun.
Making you repeat something until itās actually consistent.
And sometimes pushing you just far enough outside your comfort zone to prove to yourself that you can handle it.
But hereās the difference: my choices for you are never based on wanting you to have an easy win or making sure youāre never disappointed. My choices are ALWAYS based on whatās in your best interest long term, and whatās going to help you develop the skills you need to be successful at the next level.
Every correction has a purpose.
Every ānoā has a reason.
Every challenge is meant to make you better, stronger, and more capable.
And through all of it, my job is to help you believe in yourself.
Because confidence isnāt built by someone constantly telling you how great you are.
Itās built when you face something hard, get uncomfortable, work through it, and realize: āI can do this.ā
If you just want a coach to tell you how amazing you are all the time and avoid constructive feedback, Iām probably not your trainer.
ā”ļø Iām going to celebrate your wins.
ā”ļø Iām going to believe in you.
ā”ļø And Iām also going to be honest about when you need more time to grow, if you/your horse need to take a step back, what you can do better, and when you need to push yourself.
Because Iām not interested in keeping you comfortable.
Iām interested in seeing you reach your potential.
