The difference 2️⃣0️⃣ feet of water makes 💧

Our Lepreau Harbour tides can reach up to 25 feet at their highest in the spring.

Looks like a lot but these are rookie numbers compared to other parts of the Bay, with the Minus Basin of Nova Scotia reaching over 5️⃣0️⃣ feet, and Hopewell Cape reaching up to 4️⃣6️⃣ feet of water at high tide‼️

To put it into perspective, if you're visiting Parlee Beach in the Northumberland Strait, that's a 3️⃣ to 5️⃣ foot tidal zone.

With the majority of oyster farms located in the 3️⃣ to 5️⃣ foot range, we've had to innovate our way into the aquaculture industry to account for the drastic tidal difference. 💪

That's why you won't see the traditional rows upon rows of floating cages here, typical of most oyster farms.

When you plan your next Bay of Fundy visit, make sure you check it out 6️⃣ hours apart to really see the wonder of the highest tides in the world! 🌊
