Corn silage bunk #1 is complete. It is full and there are lots of kernels. Right next to it is a bunk of 2nd, 3rd and 4th cut cow silage. Bunks are 60 x 150 ft. Next week we fill another 60 x 150 ft. bunk with corn silage then it’s on to snaplage after that. We had 530 acres of corn planted this year.

The final crops are being harvested for 2026. Corn silage and then snaplage. Corn grew very well this year. Could have done without all that rain the last few days though.

New seeded alfalfa field is looking great with all of the rain lately.

Natascha, Jeffrey, Bella, Cookie and Maggie are checking out the Kelly fields. That corn is easily 11 feet tall in places.

Finished the mature feed bunk for the heifers and dry cows. Having the required b**r and pizza to celebrate. It takes a village!!

Right at the top in the centre you can see John’s hands. Corn is doing really well this year. Should be a great crop barring no derecho winds or hurricanes make an appearance.
