Why consider a propane-powered fan over a gasoline fan?

Reason #1: Cleaner Fuel = Longer Engine Life
Propane and natural gas burn significantly cleaner than gasoline. This means:
• Less carbon buildup inside the engine
• Cleaner oil over time
• Reduced wear on internal components

The result? Longer engine life and fewer maintenance headaches compared to traditional gasoline-powered systems.

Successful Farming Article: Keep Grain Cool

"The delicate balance of running fans to aerate stored grain requires more than a nose, which is why Winkowitsch advocated using technology to track temperature and relative humidity inside and outside the structure to determine when fans should run. At 12% moisture and 40°F, corn can be stored about 400 days before it begins to deteriorate, Winkowitsch said. However, 12% corn at 70°F lasts just 40 days. Manage those facilities to keep grain at 40–50°F, he added."

When it comes to grain storage, one thing is clear: temperature control matters. Heat and/or poor aeration can lead to spoilage, moisture issues, and lost value. But not every operation needs a complex or expensive aeration system.

That’s where Manhole Aeration comes in. Designed to simplify grain cooling without major modifications, this approach offers a practical solution for farmers looking to improve storage conditions with minimal cost and effort.
