Sometimes the easy choice is to follow the herd, but we have decided to chart our own path. We secured the next piece of our breeding puzzle this week from our friends at W Sunrise Angus. W Sunrise Lit Up 50N excelled in their real world program, and was one of the heaviest, stoutest made herd sires in their offering. He is a grand-son of the renown Moose Creek Brndina 26E cow family. We look forward to what he can add to our red program and will compliment our mix of red and black genetics.

If you are still in the market for some high quality replacement heifers Kohut Farms Ltd is selling 40 top quality females. They sell April 11th at Northern Livestock Sales in Lloydminster. These heifers are Simmental influenced and half of them are sired by our bulls. The sires are sons of Mossy Oak and Stark and come from our high quality Pride 13J and Dawn 17Y cow families. Average weight 943 lbs.

Now that we've had a chance to catch our breath we want to send out a huge thanks to everyone that supported our bull sale. We are grateful for all the help received from friends and neighbours. It is always humbling to see the support we receive, and faith that our fellow cattlemen put in our program. Close to 90% of our bulls sold to repeat customers, and 66% of our bulls sold sight unseen. Some outfits purchasing bulls have been with us since the very beginning, and in some cases spanning multiple generations. Crestland Farms purchased our high seller Red Wheel Reign 106N.

One of the most unique bulls we have raised is Lot 20 Red Wheel Reign 106N. He is a Purple Reign son out of a Dracarys daughter. He combines two of the most successful Angus breeding pieces in recent history - Bar E-L Erica 74A and Brooking Bank Note. And he's RED! Moderate BW with natural shape, and he was the highest WPDA bull at weaning. His dam raised our high selling bull last year to Y Coulee Land & Cattle.
