Lorraine's Saskatoon Berries

Hello Berry Friends,

I am sorry to say that we will not be selling any Saskatoon berries this year. We had a break in our irrigation water line late last fall and are waiting to have it fixed. Without water we cannot spray the bushes with pesticide and fungicide at blossom time, and we only want to sell the best berries.

We are a Saskatoon berry U-Pick located by the Saskatoon Golf Course.

To see details on our opening and prices please go to my website which is:

Because the berries ripened so quickly I have not had time to send an email yet.

I keep forgetting to post that are still some gooseberries that are ripe for picking. $12 an ice cream pail.

The storm has passed and the sun is out. Some pickers just waited out the storm in the garage and just went out again. The bushes are loaded this year. Because our field is wood chipped there is no mud or mess.

Hello from Lorraine’s Berries:

We will be opening Friday July 15, 2022, and our hours will be from 8 AM to 6 PM every day until the berries are finished.
There are lots of purple clumps, with many red and green berries yet to ripen, so picking will be very staggered so you don't have to rush out.
This a reminder that we won't be providing pails to pick in, so please bring your own container. We will then put your container on the scale and charge $2.00 per pound for the berries you picked.
1. There will be no washroom facilities available this year.
2. No pets allowed in the yard or berry patch. Please leave them at home.
3. There will be no tables and chairs set up in the yard for resting or eating this year.
4. We do not have the ability to use debit or credit cards here to pay for the berries you pick. We accept cash, cheques and e-transfers.
5. The berries will be the same as previous years - $10 for 4 litres or (5 pounds) which is $2 a pound.

Please check the photos for directions to Lorraine’s Berries.

This is a reminder that my cookbook “From The Berry Patch” is on my website free to everyone who would like to try some berry recipes.
The website address is http://saskatoonberry.net/
or just Google “Lorraine’s Saskatoon Berries”.

We are looking forward to seeing you all again.

Lorraine and Michael

We are also monitoring the number of customers picking at one time and are asking pickers to practice social distancing, maintaining a space of 6 feet between each other while picking and when paying upon checkout.
