Panel sur la Pride le jeudi 25 juin. Enregistrez-vous.
There's only a little over a week until our Pride Farmer Panel event 🌈
In nature, ecosystems flourish through diversity, queerness, and collaboration and we think the same is true for an abundant food and farming system. Diversity enables innovation, resilience, and adaptation—all key elements of ecological farming.
This Pride Month, celebrate the contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ farmers to our sector and join our conversation with a panel of farmers including:
- Jackie Clark (she/they) - Whether you find her managing EFAO's Small Grains Program, editing the EFAO quarterly magazine, at an NFU farm-worker-member gathering or growing organic vegetables at home or on friend's farms, Jackie Clark is always aiming to contribute to a more just and equitable food system. She is passionate about farmer-led research, agroecology, connecting mutual aid with political education and action, and building community among 2SLGBTQIA+ farmers across Ontario.
- Jessye Finch (she/they) - A registered herbalist and herb farmer, you will find Jessye Finch on Future Spell Farm, surrounded by their family, animals and thousands of plants on many beautiful acres. With a deep dedication to ecological growing practices, Jessye grows farm direct herbs for practitioners, wellness companies, community herbalists, and apothecaries. Jessye embraces a holistic way of work that is Q***r + Trans affirming and steeped in values including community care, collective liberation and access.
- Soleil Hutchinson (she/her) - Soleil Hutchinson lives in rural PEI with her wife Lauren, tending to 6 acres of stunning organic vegetables on Soleil's Farm. Soleil champions the idea that together, a community of committed farmers and eaters can create a better food system, where we can all celebrate and enjoy good food. Her vision emphasizes collaboration, accessibility, and a deep connection to both land and people.
Panelists will be sharing their perspectives on pride in farming and ways to make the broader ag community safe and welcoming for all. Learn more and register at http://pride-farmer-panel-2026-cog.eventbrite.ca/
