One of the hardest parts of being away is getting a call that your child needs you. 💔

While we were in Toronto for CHFA and catching a Blue Jays game, our son Koen had an anaphylactic reaction to horses at a rodeo in Saskatoon. He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and we couldn’t be there.

Being so far away, waiting for updates when all we wanted was to hold him, was heartbreaking. In that moment, everything else faded into the background.

We are so grateful to the people who were there for him, the paramedics, and the hospital team who cared for our boy. Thank you for being there when we couldn’t. 🤍
