Black River Orlovs Breeding and preserving the magnificent and endangered Orlov Trotter! We are an extremely small breeding facility, located in Nova Scotia, Canada.

We purchased this 130 year old 200 acre farm on the banks of the Black River in 2004. Here the rolling countryside and ample rainfall nuture and build our beautiful Orlovs into idea companions and athletes. We are the only purebred Orlov breeder in North America, and all our foals are DNA tested and registered in Russia. Here we believe in breeding beautiful, purebred warmbloods capable of competing in any discipline; sound of mind and body!
