Good morning,
We have decided to close for the season,
I really want to take a minute and thank everyone who stopped by our little takeout.
It was a tough season with prices of everything skyrocketing I really find it difficult to put prices up.
Next year will be even harder i think,but ill figure that out,
We have been talking the last couple days about adding new things to the menu that I know your gonna like also making the inside even more efficient to serve you all.
I know my openings are strange, and will have to stay that way because as you know i work at sea for half the month at a job i dearly do love.
When I started this little business it was intended to be just a hobby for me when im home,but that changed rather quickly to become a small business with pretty good seafood.
I always knew a little takeout would work here,a place for locals to stop for a meal and tourists to grab a quick bite of Nova Scotia while taking a picture of the lighthouse.
I always try to meet each customer and have a quick conversation, it may be a local guy to see how fishing is going or to welcome a new family to our neighborhood or like yesterday meeting a couple from New Jersey where apparently Holmes is a very common name and why shouldn't it be !!
You see that's where the first Holmes settler came from in 1774.
I enjoyed this summer very much and meeting people from all over this country and different parts of the world!!
So in saying this I will thank you all for coming down to our takeout and close the window until next season,but we will return in the spring and maybe even get an event in before storing the trailer for the winter.
I won't be attending the Pumpkin regatta this year as I sail this Friday.
