Dan is swathing the cover crop so it was a hurried rescue mission to have one last bouquet of the season.

From our family (including the four-legged members) to yours, we hope your Thanksgiving is filled with good food, good company, and plenty to be grateful for.

Thank You to everyone who met up with Kiara Duhaime for a pumpkin or 12. We appreciate the continuing support. We will post one more date between now and Halloween for a delivery!

Make sure to tag us and your pumpkins. We can’t wait to see what you do with them.

Kiara Duhaime will be in Spiritwood tomorrow afternoon (Friday, October 9th) around 3:00 p.m. if anyone is still looking to purchase a pumpkin, spaghetti squash or two.

We feel terrible about having to cancel our pumpkin sale and haunted maze. Just let us know if you are looking to purchase a pumpkin or squash and we can make it happen.

The longest harvest in the history of harvests is finally coming to an end.
At this point, we’re just happy to be getting things out of the ground before the snow flies.
We’ve resorted to dragging out the old John Deere with no cap on because trying to get that on by ourselves is asking for trouble.
The carrots decided to grow into shapes we’ve never seen before, the white potatoes averaged 10” long, and the beets decided to grow to the size of small children.
Nothing about this year’s garden harvest has been normal, quick, or particularly convenient.
If anyone needs us, we’ll be recovering from harvest until approximately Christmas.

Unfortunately, we’ve made the difficult decision to CANCEL our Haunted Corn Maze and Farm Stand Pumpkin sale scheduled for Friday, October 9th.

Mother Nature won this one with the expected rain and snow.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated candy, supplies, money and time to help the Northern Spirit 4-H Club prepare. We are incredibly disappointed, but sometimes Mother Nature gets the final say.

Thank you for understanding and for always supporting our 4-H kids!

The Northern Spirit 4H News & Events is busy getting ready for the Haunted Corn Maze and is looking for a little help!

If anyone would like to donate candy for the evening, it would be greatly appreciated. With lots of visitors expected, we can never have too much candy!

If candy isn’t your thing, the club will also happily accept other donations to help with Haunted Maze supplies.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this such a fun night for the club and our community!

Apparently when we say “harvest everything,” Dan takes that very seriously.

Tomatoes: salvaged.
Phone: not so much.

The combine remains undefeated.
