This is the hardest time of year for beekeepers; time to assess Winter kill. We've lost six of our eighteen hives so far and the dandelions aren't blooming, yet. We're feeding sugar water and pollen patties, though the girls have started bringing in some pollen on the nicer days. Three day ice storm?! Thankfully, we've had a chance to get them some food ahead of it! Come on girls! You can do it!!!
