🧡 Today, Susan’s Kitchen will be CLOSED in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Today is a day to honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and stand with their families and communities.

Here in Slave Lake, Indigenous neighbours, friends, families, customers and communities are an important part of the community we are proud to call home.

We are taking today to listen, learn, reflect and show our respect and support.

🧡 Every Child Matters.

From all of us at Susan’s Kitchen, we stand with our Indigenous neighbours, friends and families today and always.

We will reopen tomorrow for our regular hours.

Great event, if you are looking to be part of the rock star volunteer community, head on over to the meeting Oct 6

We are excited to announce that the Beach Fest Society's first ever AGM will take place on Tuesday, October 6th, 7:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn conference room! This meeting is where we will elect new board members and assign roles for the year, and we are inviting anybody interested in joining our team to please come and meet with us.
Planning for an event like this is a big undertaking, and we are so short-handed that we fear Beach Fest 2027 may be at risk. We are very hopeful that we can get some fresh faces to carry Beach Fest forward. If you have any questions or would like to express interest in a position before this meeting, please email [email protected].
