Woodland Raised Pork
Here at High Road Harvest Farm we raise our piggies in rotational woodland pastures. This ensures they are able to browse, dig around and generally explore and play in the woods. They are moved every 7-12 days depending on density and impact they are having. They have access to locally grown grain to supplement their natural forage, and of course always have clean, fresh water. They do an amazing job of clearing the understory, and prior to their rotating to the next area, we seed the ground with a food cover crop like peas or barley. SQUARE BALED HAY Our high quality square baled hay offers a mix of Timothy, Brome, Alfalfa and Clover. It is stored safe and dry in the hayloft.
